What does it do?

The child pages shortcode allows you to display all of the pages that are set as child pages to the current page, this is useful as it can aid the navigation of a site by allowing you to create a dashboard of pages that also displays the page's featured image.

How do I use it?

To get the shortcode to display content, first you will have to assign parent/child relationship. You can do this by editing the child pages, then assigning the page with the shortcode as the parent in this box:

To embed this shortcode into the page, you need to copy the following HTML:

[rs_child_pages_dashboard default_colour="#FF0000"]

Rules:

  • default_colour="" - sets the default colour of the dashboard.

Once you have copied this, paste it into the page in the text editor view, click update/publish, and then refresh the page.
