Managing user in bulk can be really tricky in google especially adding lots of students to Google Classrooms.

You can easily add users in bulk using Beta smartadmin- just follow these simple steps.

  1. log into Beta Smartadmin https://provision.realsmart.co.uk/admin/dashboard
  2. Navigate to Groups and create a new group if you need a new group
    In this example we have created a new group called Y7-English and added 3x teachers.

  3. We now want to add all Year 7 students
  4. Navigate to Users in the left hand menu and start typing Year-7 into the "Search users and groups:" box as screenshot and select the required group that you want to copy all users from

  5. Once you've selected the group you will see the list of users on the page updates. As screenshot there are 221 users listed in Year-7 group- the page shows 50 users per page

  6. Now tick the All users tickbox which will select All users on the page
  7. You can now use the 'Add users to Group" button to select a group where you want the users to be added
  8. Start typing the name of the group, in the example we type Y7-English and his the green 'Add to selected group(s)' button

  9. Now click Page 2 and do the same, then Page 3 etc until all 221 users are added to the group
  10. Once all users are added go back to Groups and check the new group members are added.
  11. In the screenshot we can see that the new Y7-English Group now has the teachers and all year 7 students

  12. If you need to instantly sync the group to google just hit the green 'Save Group' Button.
